The Himmelfarb Gallery at Maryland University of Integrative Health is named in honor of Helen M. and Annetta E. Himmelfarb, a mother and daughter who each had a great love of art.
Himmelfarb Gallery Call for Artists
In an age without boundaries and borders—an age of digital and physical exploration—the idea of home is rapidly changing while staying the same. Home for some is where deep roots are tended, while for others nomadic and home are synonymous terms. Broad horizons stretch out before the perpetual traveler with no address, while the familiar horizon is what inspires others. Home brings all of life’s events together and is an encapsulation of one’s experiences—home is the being.

Since its opening in April 2003, the gallery has featured four exhibitions annually, all focusing on some aspect of healing, wellness, or nature, in keeping with the university’s mission. Through the years, the gallery has been home to paintings, drawings, prints, photography, fabric, and artist-made paper. Artworks are generally for sale, with purchases made at the Meeting Point Bookstore.
The MUIH Art Committee selects artists after a review of their artworks. If you have any questions about the Himmelfarb Gallery, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
