“The fact that I am learning a technique that has been healing people for thousands of years thrills and excites me!”

What drew you to MUIH?

When I started looking at acupuncture schools I was immediately drawn to MUIH. I had heard great things about the school from my naturopathic doctor and my acupuncturist. When I learned more about the 5-Element acupuncture tradition that is taught at MUIH I knew it was the place for me.

What excites you about your academic field of study?

The fact that I am learning a technique that has been healing people for thousands of years thrills and excites me! Every class has something more to offer that fascinates me and keeps me wanting to know more.

Has there been a course you’ve particularly enjoyed?

Theory of Officials and Substances with Kaiya Larson has been my favorite class so far. I love learning about the 12 Officials and how they show up in people in my life.

Can you speak about the faculty here?

The faculty at MUIH is amazing; they are engaged and love teaching the material. The fact that they are all practicing acupuncturists is wonderful because they can bring practical knowledge and experience to each class.

What is your best MUIH memory?

Meeting my cohort and establishing relationships with them has been the best memory so far at MUIH.

How do you plan to use what you’ve learned here?

I am already using what I have learned so far to deepen my relationships and better my life. I plan to have an acupuncture practice upon graduating from MUIH.

What would you say about MUIH to a prospective student who is interested in attending?

I would say that if you are interested in changing yourself and life for the better, MUIH is the place to be.

What is the one word that comes to mind when you think of MUIH?
