The President's Executive Council at Maryland University of Integrative Health unites the administrative and academic leaders in a transparent and inclusive shared governance model. This group creates strategic initiatives and manages the University’s financial and human capital to advance the University’s mission and vision.


Steven C. Combs, Ph.D.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Steven Combs, Ph.D., was appointed to serve as President and CEO of MUIH and began his service on April 1, 2017.

Dr. Combs most recently served as the Executive Vice President and Provost at Drury University (Springfield, MO).  During his tenure, he oversaw a significant enrollment increase, the implementation of six new academic programs, the acquisition of over $3.5 million in grants and donations, the building and refurbishing of key academic spaces, created an office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, Teaching and Learning Center, and revitalized the Honors Program and Debate Team.   Prior to Drury, Dr. Combs was the founding Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and the founding Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hawaii Pacific University.  Read more


Marc Levin, M.B.A., M.A., CPA

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Marc Levin joined Maryland University of Integrative Health in March 2008 as Associate Vice President for Financial Services, was promoted to Vice President for Business and Financial Services in September 2008, and to Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in September 2012. Read more


Christina Sax, Ph.D.

Provost and Vice President, Academic Affairs

Christina Sax, Ph.D., is Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Maryland University of Integrative Health. Dr. Sax serves as the chief academic officer and provides leadership for academic and clinical quality, assessment, and accreditation; research and scholarship; continuing education; faculty professional development; digital learning; and external academic and clinical outreach. She provides leadership for all academic programs and faculty, the Natural Care Center; the Center for Teaching and Learning, and the Sherman Cohn Library. Read more
